1. 「101學年度科技校院繁星聯合推薦甄選招生簡章」明天（15）起上網開放下載，今年共有國立臺灣科技大學等32校參與招生，提供1982個招生名額，各高職最多可以推薦8名學生參加，並取消面試，首次採取二輪分發。

The statement of regulation for 2012 Joint Recommendation Selection for Technological and Vocational College will be offered on the website for downloading from tomorrow. Including National Taiwan University of Science and Technology, thirty-two schools take part in the selection this year to offer one thousand nine hundred and eighty-two vacancies. Each vocational school can recommend eight students to join it at most. The interview will be canceled this year and two-round assignment will be held for the first time.

2. 大考中心今年9月首次試辦高中英語聽力測驗，獲得各界好評，決定明年3月4號再次舉辦，測驗對象是高三學生，報名人數以2萬人為限，今年12月16號到20號受理網路報名。詳情可以上大考中心網站查詢。

Center for College Entrance Examination held a trial English listening test for the first time in this September which gained good comments from different fields. It decided to hold the test again in the next March 4th. The target for the test will be the students who are studying in the third grade of senior high schools, and the number of applicants will be set to twenty thousand at most. 3. 營養午餐弊案一波波調查，中華民國中小學校長協會理事長張榮輝表示，檢調用嚴苛的標準辦案，造成教育界恐慌，讓有些校長覺得辦學空間被壓縮，寧可提早退休。教育部長吳清基鼓勵校長，不要因為少數幾個人就打垮教育界的士氣，他相信多數校長問心無愧，還是會堅守教育崗位，把教育做好。

He believes most of the principals are innocent and will make education better by defending their position resolutely.

4. 100年度外交小尖兵英語種籽隊選拔活動」順利落幕，參賽同學以「中華民國新世代青年的精彩100」為題，用任何表演型式自由發揮；再參加「團體英語即席演講」比賽，臨場抽題、即席演講；最後由前10名團隊進行「益智問答」，題目涵蓋國際禮儀、國際外交常識等。比賽由薇閣中學、復興實中和新竹女中獲得前三名，將代表臺灣到美國參訪。

The selection for English little diplomatic ambassador in 2011 comes to an end smoothly. The students who take part in it take “The Splendid 2011 of Young People of the Republic of China” as main topic to develop their own performances with kinds of ways. They also join a group English impromptu speech competition. And the final top ten groups participate in general knowledge quiz which includes questions of international etiquette and common sense relating to diplomacy. Wego Private Senior High School, Taipei Fuhsing Private School and National 新竹 Girl’s Senior High School won the top three prizes finally and they will represent Taiwan to visit America.

5. 幫助陪伴國內需要關懷的兒童和青少年，光寶文教基金會特別將認輔志工守護孩子的感人故事，集結出版新書《不光會耍寶-認輔志工守護孩子的故事》，希望鼓勵更多志工參與社區認輔的工作，讓社會更美好。

To help internal children and teenagers who need care, Lite-On Cultural Foundation specially takes the touching stories talking about the volunteers take care of the children in need to compile and publish a new book. It hopes to encourage more volunteers to participate in counseling service in communities making the society better.

6 天氣冷颼颼，流感增溫，根據疾病管制局統計，上週流感併發症個案一口氣增加31例，其中包含一起死亡個案。疾病管制局副局長周志浩表示，流感流行季逼近，12月下旬，病例會快速增加，呼籲民眾調整個人保護措施與衛生習慣。

The cold weather increases the number of flu cases. According to the statistics of Center for Disease Control, thirty-one cases of flu complication are found in the last week including one death. Vice director of the center 周志浩 says the epidemic season is coming in the last third part of December which will cause to the increasing number of cases. He calls upon people to adjust self-protection well and keep good habits of hygiene.
